Dr Wendy Norton

Wendy is a parent of 3 boys age 18, 16 and 12 years. The younger 2 boys are at risk of anaphylaxis to multiple foods. She graduated from Monash University in 1993 with a medical degree, and then trained as a general practitioner. Years of dealing with her sons’ food allergies compelled her to do post graduate allergy training through the University of Western Sydney. She now works part time in the allergy department at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and also at the Centre for Food Allergy Research (CFAR). She has done volunteer work for Allergy and Anaphylaxis Australia for over a decade. She has also been involved with the National Allergy Strategy since its inception, and is passionate about improving the lives of people living with allergy.
